Ariadna has received funding from SPRI – Basque Government to implement generative artificial intelligence and the automation of internal processes, strengthening its operational efficiency, knowledge management and data-driven decision-making.
As part of the 2024 “Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Strategy” Programme [NGEU] run by SPRI – Basque Government, Ariadna has been awarded funding of €56,464.72 to develop and implement an intelligent internal management system based on generative artificial intelligence and process automation, to be carried out between June 2025 and March 2026.
This project reinforces Ariadna’s strategy as a technology company specialising in the digitalisation of power grids, incorporating AI not only into its solutions but also into its internal processes to improve efficiency, scalability and decision-making.
The 2024 “Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Strategy” Programme run by SPRI – Basque Government promotes the digital transformation of Basque companies through funding for applied artificial intelligence and strategic data management projects, with the aim of improving competitiveness, accelerating the adoption of AI-based solutions and strengthening data-driven decision-making. This initiative supports the implementation of AI services and commercial solutions, as well as actions that prepare the infrastructure and data strategy required to integrate artificial intelligence in a real and effective way into business activity.
Generative AI applied to internal management makes it possible to automate tasks, improve access to knowledge and optimise key processes.
In Ariadna’s case, this project will make it possible to:
- Automate repetitive and operational processes
- Improve the management and reuse of internal knowledge
- Increase the productivity of technical teams
- Reduce errors and improve information traceability
- Accelerate data-driven decision-making
Next Generation EU grants represent a key boost for the digital and sustainable transformation of the energy sector, facilitating the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation in power and technology companies. In the context of distribution grids, these grants enable companies to accelerate the digitalisation of their operations, optimise network investments and improve operational efficiency, in line with European objectives for decarbonisation, electrification and the modernisation of critical infrastructure. This type of public funding not only supports technological innovation, but also strengthens the competitiveness of utilities and their technology ecosystem, driving smarter, more resilient and data-driven solutions.
