Ariadna has achieved ISO 27001 certification, a key international standard for information security management. This milestone reflects the work carried out to implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS), including risk analysis, access controls, encryption and continuous monitoring. In doing so, the company strengthens the protection of customer data — personal, financial and product-related — and reinforces its commitment to the highest security standards in an increasingly cyber-risk environment.

ISO 27001 Certification. Information Privacy

With the degree of digitalisation in today’s world, information privacy has become a major concern for both companies and their customers. Cyber-attacks, data theft and security breaches can have serious consequences, both in economic and reputational terms. In this context, ISO 27001 certification has gained relevance as a global standard that ensures effective information security management.

Implementing ISO 27001: A Shield Against Security Breaches

The daily processing of thousands of our customers’ data, together with the protection of the software we develop, are two of the key aspects of our organisation that we must protect from any kind of attack. For this reason, and with the firm objective of protecting ourselves against security breaches, we have been working intensively over the last year to implement ISO27001.

The first step has been to carry out a detailed analysis of the risks we face, allowing us to identify vulnerabilities within our systems, from the protection of customer information to the security of our software solutions. To then design a robust and effective Information Security Management System (ISMS), including policies, procedures and controls specifically designed to mitigate those risks. Implementing limited access policies, data encryption and continuous monitoring are just some of the measures we have implemented within Ariadna.

Protecting our Customers’ Data: a priority

One of the key benefits of achieving ISO 27001 certification is to ensure that customer data is fully protected. In a context where data breaches can destroy our customers’ trust, meeting the highest security standards is essential. This certification provides us with a robust methodology to protect our customers’ personal, financial and product information (electrical measurements).

In addition and complementary, data protection regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, are also reinforced by the implementation of ISO 27001, avoiding possible sanctions and fines for non-compliance.

Software Security: Protecting Ariadne’s Core

In addition to protecting customer data, ISO 27001 certification plays a crucial role in securing the software a company develops or uses. For our organisation, where the Ariadna Smart IOT platform and the GridGIS D-twin app are at the heart of our business, any vulnerability in its software can translate into a major risk. That is why it is important for us to ensure the security of the software we develop, to prevent unauthorised access, manipulation or attacks that could compromise both the integrity of the system and the user experience. Implementing regular updates and reviewing the code continuously to detect possible vulnerabilities are part of the best practices that the certification promotes and that Ariadna has been implementing for some time within the life cycle of our product.

Conclusión

Ariadna is proud to announce that, after a lot of hard work, we have achieved ISO 27001 certification. This has been confirmed by Aenor, the accredited body that has audited us.

Obtaining this certification is more than just a seal of compliance; it is a comprehensive commitment to customer data security and software protection. Implementing this standard in Ariadna allows us to improve the company’s internal processes, strengthen our customers’ trust and position ourselves as a trusted player in the electric sector.
